San Diego Dance Theatre celebrates 10 years of Young Choreographers Showcase & Prize

March 14, 5:00 p.m. & 8:00 p.m.

Young choreographers of various dance styles, ages 18-30 and residents of San Diego & Northern Baja Mexico, seeking to achieve the 2020 Young Choreographer Prize presenting original pieces.

The 2020 Finalists are: Carla Alcantara, Stephanie Britton, Alexander Ebalo & Luci Patrick, Hannah Pritchett, Lauren Pym, Aisha Reddick, Kevin Truitt, Odessa Uno, Stephanie Vasquez, Jeremy Zapanta.

A panel of expert judges and the audience will award prize money in several categories:

1. Most Original Choreography - Prize $1,000 + a fully-produced evening of their choreography at the 2021 Live Arts Fest.

2. Most Compelling Performance by a Single Dancer - Prize $500

3. The audience, from both performances, will also be voting and their top choice "Audience Favorite" which will receive a prize of $500.
